Terms and Conditions

At Indigo Rose Home Living, we aim to make your online experience as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. Please read the following terms carefully before placing an order.


Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

  • PayPal (Visa and Mastercard accepted within PayPal)
  • Afterpay
  • Direct Bank Transfer

Orders are processed once payment has been received and cleared. 


Processing Your Order

Orders are processed in the order they are received and are typically dispatched within 2 business days. Please allow additional time during peak periods such as holidays.

All orders are dispatched from our Kiama shop during regular trading hours. For Click & Collect orders, we will email you when your order is ready for pick-up. Please ensure your contact details are accurate. 

Processing times may vary depending on payment method and item availability. 


Shipping Times Within Australia

Once dispatched, delivery times will vary depending on your location and the service used. Australia Post provides an estimated delivery timeframe of 2 to 6 business days for most locations, but this is not guaranteed. Remote areas may experience longer shipping times.

You'll receive an email with tracking details once your order is on its way.

Currently, we only deliver within Australia.


Shipping Charges

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location and the weight/size of your order. We use Australia Post for all deliveries. 


Local Delivery

Local delivery is available on items that as a total are less than 1 cubic metre in size. This option may appear at checkout depending on your location and order contents.


Custom Orders I Special Orders

If you've seen a piece you love that's not currently in stock, or wish to custom design a specific item, we invite you to contact us or visit our Kiama Terrace store. Our staff will gladly help you find or create something perfect for your space and style. 

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required before placing any custom or special order. The remaining balance is due at pick-up or prior to delivery.
  • All specifications including measurements, colours, materials etc. must be emailed directly to us before your order is finalised. Customers are fully responsible for the accuracy of provided measurements.
  • Please allow for minor measurement variations in custom-made pieces (typically within a few millimetres).
  • If placing your order in-store, all custom details will appear on your receipt. Payment of your deposit confirms these details are correct and that you're happy for us to proceed.
  • If an error is noticed, please notify us in writing within 72 hours of purchase. Changes cannot be accepted after this timeframe.

Returns

Damaged or Faulty Items

If an item arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order. Email us with clear photos and your order details. After review, we will offer a replacement, store credit, or refund where appropriate. 

Change of Mind 

For change of mind, we offer store credit or exchange on full-priced items returned within 14 days of purchase. Items must be: 

  • Unused
  • In original packaging
  • In saleable condition
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase

Please note:

  • Sale items, seasonal products, jewellery, bath & body items, and custom orders are not eligible for return or exchange due to change of mind.
  • Return postage for change-of-mind returns is the responsibility of the customer. Indigo Rose Home Living will cover return postage only if the item was damaged or faulty upon arrival, following investigation.

Returns & Refunds for Faulty Products

In accordance with Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major problem. This includes items that are:

  • Unsafe
  • Significantly different from the product description
  • Faulty in a way that can't be easily fixed

Proof of fault and purchase (e.g., photos and receipt) will be required.

Refunds will be processed via your original payment method. If you paid with Afterpay, your refund will be processed through them, and upcoming payments will be adjusted or cancelled accordingly. 


Items We Cannot Accept for Return or Exchange

For hygiene, safety or legal reasons, the following items cannot be returned or exchanged unless faulty:

  • Opened or used bath, body or food products
  • Earrings
  • Gift vouchers
  • Custom or special orders
  • Seasonal items (e.g., Christmas decor)

Natural Timber Disclaimer

Many of our products are made from natural timber, which is a 'living' material that responds to its environment. You may notice slight movement, hairline cracks or natural blemishes. These are not faults, but rather part of what makes each piece unique.

In particular, solid munggur wood items retain a high moisture content. While they are 
kiln-dried extensively, their thickness means some moisture may remain and rise to the surface during transport, causing natural water blemishes. These blemishes are a known and accepted feature of the timber and not considered defects.

We recommend using a protective liner if placing timber furniture on rugs or carpet to prevent possible staining from natural leaching. Many of our timber ranges contain beautiful, visible knots and grains - no two pieces are alike, and you should expect natural variations in tone, texture, grain and occasional movement. 

Indigo Rose Home Living does not offer refunds, exchanges or replacements due to these natural timber characteristics.
